Coming from a huge family of succulents, the echeveria ‘Agavoides’ succulent is native to the mountain ranges of Central America and South America. With its bright green, pointy, petal-looking leaves, and eventual contrasting red/yellow flowers/leaf tips, it is sure to draw attention in your household! If your pets are interested in it as well, don’t be alarmed, it is a non-toxic, pet friendly plant!
Being that it’s from a temperate environment, it thrives in low humidity, bright to direct light, low moisture levels in its soil and will grow up to 6 – 8 inches indoors. This makes them great for placement on a well-lit desktop, windowsill, countertop, bookcase or cubby in your home. If given proper light and love, they will produce a long, leggy stem with flowers! Over time this plant may lose some of its “petals”, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle and you can easily propagate yourself a new echeveria with the pieces that fell off!
