Similar to its alocasia cousins, the Apoballis ‘Lavallaei’ shows off beautifully variegated green leaves with rich maroon undersides. Unlike most other alocasias, this plant’s foliage has more of a dagger shape than an arrowhead! The pointy leaves grow tightly together in a bushy fashion and reach up toward the sun, kind of like a prayer plant!
These plants are relatively easy to care for if you provide them with lots of humidity, consistent watering, and bright, indirect sunlight. ‘Lavallaei’ will let you know when it is time to give it a drink with droopy, sad leaves.
